Phase 1 is a loading phase, in which you use the HCG (either sublingually or via injections), and consume large amounts of food for two days. This gives the body copious amounts of fats and nutrients to start, when helps ease phase 2.
Phase 2 is a 500 calorie program that lasts for 24 additional days, in which you restrict your diet to a 50% protein, 40% carbohydrate, 10% fat diet of very specific, non-inflammatory foods that are least likely to cause weight gain, inflammation, or irritation to the digestive tract. Paired with proper supplements, this is a rapid way to lose between 5 & 15 pounds in a short period of time. Days 3 (start Phase 2) thru Day 23 continue with 0.5 ml injections of HCG. Days 24-26 are transition days, in which you continue the 500 calorie diet, but do not inject HCG. It is important NOT to work out during phase 2, and to drink at least 2 liters of water daily.
Phase 3 is the maintenance phase. Depending on which specialist you speak with, Phase 3 can be a number of things. After 26 days of being committed to a life-altering change, we find it best to play this phase safely. You will bump up your caloric intake to 1500-1600 calories per day, and slowly begin to reintroduce foods.
The first two weeks will re-introduce other fruits and vegetables, as well as protein sources.
The second two weeks will introduce nuts and seeds, and beans.
The third two weeks you will introduce grains, and dairy, and some starchy foods.
Phase 4 is the rest of your life! Hopefully by the end of the program you will be more prepared with the tools you need to maintain your weight loss, continue with weight loss, and form healthy habits such as proper servings, and lower sugars and starches in your diet.
