chocolate

I prefer my chocolate as dark as possible, and I usually combine it with real fruits to give it the sweet flavor. If you would like to make it more of  milk chocolate taste, simply add honey. Start with 1 teaspoon for the below recipe (yields roughly 85% chocolate taste), and add more based on your preference.

Note: This is a soft chocolate recipe, meaning it will melt at room temperature.

1/2 cup coconut oil

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/8 teaspoon Salt

*Honey

Combine ingredients in a small sauce pan over low heat. Stir constantly, chocolate burns very easily. Remove from heat once liquefied. Poor over fruit onto wax paper (rinsed, slightly moist fruit works best). Freeze. Or add to a small plastic container and mix with toppings and fruit. Once frozen, chocolate will pop out of the container with gentle twisting.

Recommended Fruit: blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, orange slices, bananas (shown in picture)

Other optional toppings: nuts, coconut flakes, coarse ground sea salt, raisins

Enjoy 🙂
